05/03/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates Pete and Bill started out the show with a new intro, followed by a new segment they've yet to name, lol, they're referring to it as "around the world" for now. Topics from the outdoors like record catches, or anything outdoors and interesting is game. Frontier Fred called with a super quick fishing report before continuing after a turkey he had gobbling and OutdoorGirl Anita spoke about bluebird boxes. Pete talked about his experience with his son TJ on the youth turkey hunt and Bill mentioned going to see Paul Schnell and Liberty the bald eagle. There were lots of calls, and Mike and the Guys were sorry they couldnt get to them all, but feel free to call again next week at the WHAM studios at 222-1180. Thanks! 03/29/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates The OutdoorGuys tried talking about caring for mounts in the trophy room, and Pete's continuing fishing tips, but the phone kept ringing! They talked about camping, making coffee can soup, steak flipper tools, you name it. Frontier Fred informed us all that the "Guys were in the local paper, The Honeoye Herald, in an article about him. OutdoorGirl Anita also phoned with trivia. Thanks! 03/22/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates The OutdoorGuys started right out by talking about the birds and the bees...and the bats. That's robins and redwing blackbirds, and the colony collapse syndrome with bees, along with white nose syndrome in NY state bats. Frontier Fred gave us the shocking Nalpes Creek report, and OutdoorGirl Anita let us know she has seen her spring indicator, the redwings! Pete started out talking about fishing the lake with Lil Cleos but with the phone calls and the four guys goofing, he never got to finish! So tune in next Saturday and we will go into details about fishing the shores of Lake Ontario...Pete Sharpe style! See you then. 03/15/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates Those OutdoorGuys just love answering the phone! Maybe it's because Pete loves to incite the gun hunters! They had a few calls talking about guys who hunt but do not use thir best hunting ettiquette. They also heard from a farmer who agreed with the 'Guys. Frontier Fred gave some info on the shocking at Naple's Creek, and OutdoorGirl Anita called and talked about the boy scouts. Jim, Glen and Mike rounded things out for another good show. Pete and Bill wrapped things up talking about attending the Lake Ridge Gobblers NWTF banquet. Stayed tuned next week for more on (not moron) 1180 wham! 03/01/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates The OutdoorGuys had alot of fun goofing and talking about looking for shed antlers. Frontier Fred called in a quick fishing report and also goofed with the Guys, too. Bill explained the process of how an antler casts and both Pete and Bill talked briefly of their preferred methods of looking for sheds. We both think that Jim and Mike, being the home improvement guys, thought we meant looking for utility sheds in peoples yards! By the end of the show we were all talking the same language though, and wrapped the hour up with a call from Violet. Come join us next Saturday from 6 to 7am (our new time...for now) with TheOutdoorGuys on newsradio 1180 WHAM. 02/23/08 Outdoor Guys Show Updates The OutdoorGuys, Pete and Bill, have been moved to a different time! 1180 WHAM has them on from 6 to 7am along with Jim Salmon and Mike Whittemore.
