Bill was born in Buffalo, NY and did what many young boys do, collecting insects and fossils, catching frogs and snakes, and dreaming of being "out in the country". Well he proved to be a country boy born in a city, as his later childhood found him progressing to hunting, fishing and trapping in Hilton, and later raising captive whitetail deer at his farm in Brockport where he currently resides with his wife Mary and his children Veronica, Sterling, Violet and Emil.

Bill is well known as a World Champion taxidermist and the taxidermy industry recognizes him as one of the top gamehead taxidermists in the country.

His captive deer herd is as much a diversion as it is a business and reference for his taxidermy work. "Studying those deer is invaluable to me and it keeps me humble for sure, and being able to share those deer farm chores with my children is priceless".

In his 'spare time' Bill also gives taxidermy seminars, speaks, writes and teaches taxidermy. Because of family commitments he misses going on the big game hunts he once did. He still enjoys hunting deer and bear, spring turkeys and calling predators as well as fishing anywhere he can, and he tries to bring the kids along whenever possible. He and the kids also like to go out looking for shed antlers and indian artifacts. Bill says, "There isn't a day that goes by that I'm not thankful for all of what the outdoors has done for my family".

Bill loves that his kids can be outdoors and experience nature and use their imagination and not be limited to just electronics for entertainment. Because he completely makes his living from the outdoors, Bill has taught his children to enjoy the renewable resource that is wildlife and the outdoors, and as such, to respect it as well. He feels that while we have a right to bear arms, hunting and fishing is still a privilege, and one he will never take for granted.
